Lucky Dog

Luck of the Irish

Just about three years ago around St. Patrick’s day, this cutie came to the shelter. We called him Norman at that time. His skin was red and dry, likely from being left outside in the cold. Despite that, he had bright hopeful eyes and loved to be held by staff. He was quickly a favorite. It wasn’t long before he found the right human for him.

Lucky in Love

This past autumn I was so lucky to meet up with Norman (Now named Toby) again. His mom won a contest for a photo session. It was so great to see how well he is doing. He continues to have a happy smile and is ready to run and play. His skin has all healed up and his fur is healthy. We started our session just with a little walk up a hill where he stood among the golden leaves. He then showed just how much he loved his mom with an adoring gaze. Afterwards they spent time enjoying each other with a few cuddles and neck scratches. They ended with another walk.

What better way to celebrate their love together than to get an album to keep close and enjoy again and again.

Oh my gosh, Toby’s smile is THE BEST! How could anyone NOT want to adopt that guy? He looks like joy on four legs and gorgeous portrait of him, such pretty colors!
