In thinking about the topic for this week, I decided to focus on the Lucky Dogs that were adopted from Second Chance Canine Adoption Shelter recently. While the beginning of the pandemic resulted in a lot of pet adoptions, we still continue to receive a steady stream of animals that need homes. With new dogs coming in and temporary suspension of use of our shelter, Second Chance needed (and still needs) families willing to foster dogs until they find their forever home. These lucky dogs were fortunate to have wonderful volunteers to foster them and get the ready for their new families.

Louie was such a lucky dog to have a foster that pampered him royally and bought him fashionable and warm outfits to wear out in the cold. I am sure his new forever family were lured by his modeling pictures showing off his adorableness.

Flurry was found tied to a pole in the city and was suffering from mange. She was so lucky to end up in her new forever home with her four-legged brother to keep this active girl busy and the perfect parents to spoil her.

Mozi not only was found a a stray, but he also suffered from and eye condition that required surgery. He lucked out with a forever family that is devoted to rescue. His new parents had already adopted another dog from us ( Brewster). Now Brewster(below)and Mozi love to run around the yard and play together.

Would anyone have room in their heart to make this dog lucky as well? Brownie has been patiently waiting for his forever home. His former owner passed away. Although he loves his foster mom to pieces, he would love a place he can call home. He is a strong boy and would do best in an adult only home.
