Sandy Paw captures at Sandy Island Beach

Sandy Island Beach, a beautiful little area near Syracuse, NY. This area is part of a system that extends 17miles of sun-kissed dunes and rolling waves along Lake Ontario. It is an inviting place where dogs and their human companions to indulge in carefree days of fun and relaxation. This seemed like the perfect spot to have one of my calendar sessions with the fun, water loving canine- Tanner.

We had planned this session several months in advance, wanting to wait until the frigid shores warmed up a bit. the plan was for Tanner and his mom to have a nice relaxing stroll along the beach while keeping dry, then end the session with Tanner running with abandon in the water. When the session arrived though, Tanner was land-bound related to some recent medical concerns.

Tanner did not act remorseful for the lack of running through the the shimmering waves. He was content to be there with his mom by his side, enjoying time together.
