Project 52-Blog Circle
This post is part of Project 52 this week’s focus is on Catch-lights. At the END of the post follow the link to the next talented photographer in the circle. There are photographers from all over the world participating. Enjoy!
In order to take pictures of the dogs at Second Chance Canine adoption Shelter, I am often looking for certain characteristics in my photos to help feature the dogs in the best light. Freya is one of our dogs looking for her forever home. When I took Freya out for a walk I focused on catching the light in her pretty hazel eyes.

“Catch-lights” are a bright highlight in the eye that is reflected back from the light source. Catch-lights add dimension to the eye and give the eyes a “sparkle” which adds life to the photo. To capture these, you should face the subject toward your source.

Freya is a sweet Pit Bull Terrier mix of medium size. She is full of spirit and about 2 years old. She is pretty in pink and when given a toy or stuffed animal she will get excited and prance around with the toy. She loves to take her stuffed toy to her bed to cuddle, but would also love to cuddle with you!

Freya will hop and bounce when she is excited rather than run. She would do best in a home with adults only and would love to play ball or cuddle with you.
PLEASE Come visit Freya at Second Chance Canine Shelter. We are open Saturdays and Sundays 10-2.
