To recap my previous posts, I have been discussing the process of booking the photo session through delivery of you art. To catch up on the other posts:
3.) What happens after the session?
After you have gone home and took a well deserved rest with you pup- I have gone to my office to get those digital files off of my camera and onto to computer- for 2 reasons.
1.) I can’t wait to see the images
2.) I want those files onto the computer and have a couple back-ups made to ensure nothing happens to them.
This is one of the reasons I so believe in Artwork. Digital files are only as good as the hardware they are kept on. Have you ever dropped your phone and lost all your images? Anything can happen and I am not fully comfortable with those precious images until they are safely backed-up a couple of places.
Once I download the images and back them up, I review the images and take out the duplicates, blurry and unacceptable images.
I then edit the final selections for an appropriate color balance, removing eye goop and brighten eyes. I also remove blemishes of human subjects. I may remove large distracting objects from the image ( ie you- the handler).
I will also pick my favorite 2 or 3 to complete the editing process, to give you an idea of what your final purchased images will look like. These finalized images will include leash removal, skin softening for humans, Fur contouring for pets as well optimizing the image for printing.
Then we will be ready for our ordering session which will have been scheduled about 2 weeks after our photo session.
During our photo session we will have determined the date and location of our ordering appointment. The appointment can take place either in person at your home or via zoom. either way we have our meeting- the first goal is to let you view your images in a slideshow to allow you to sit back and enjoy the process and the results.
After you have had a chance to view the images as a whole and had a chance to laugh and rejoice about the images, we will go through the images again one by one. This time we will whittle down the images to keep or not keep. Then we will re-discuss your initial Artwork goals and which images you wish to use for your wall art versus your album. I will have some wall mock-up made based on the images you sent me of your wall space, so that you can see what the artwork will look like on your wall.
Once we finalize your order and complete your purchase, it time to wait in eager anticipation of your Artwork.
I offer a wide array of artwork from albums and wooden display boxes for those without much wall space, to gallery wraps and framed single images or display walls.
